Xperia S is coming to Australia and India

Sony Mobile’s new flagship device – Xperia S will be arriving at stores in Australia from early April. The date is not confirmed yet, however 11th April is when the device is expectetd to be launched.

The phone will be available with Vodafone, Crazy Johns, Optus and sim-free from Harvey Norman, JB Hi-Fi, Dick Smith Electronics, Allphones and Telechoice. Xperia S will be priced at A$555 at Dick Smith Electronics, A$599 at Harvey Norman, where as its available at A$579 at Sony Centres.

Indian customers also have to wait a bit for the official launch date which as of now stands at 10th April. The above price roughly translates to be 30,000 INR. Sony Mobile India has been emailing with the below information,

“In response to your query we would like to inform you that Sony Xperia S handset is not yet launched in India. We are unable to provide the exact date of release or availability and price information for this phone and we have only tentative date of launching Xperia S which is 10 April 2012.”
