Sony annouced Xperia ION at CES 2012

Sony has announced Xperia ION at CES 2012. Xperia ION is the first LTE smartphone from Sony and will be available exclusively in US for AT&T. The phone features a 1.5GHz Dual Core processor (Qualcomm Snapdragon S3 MSM8260 chipset and Adreno™ 220 GPU), huge 4.6″ Reality Dispay with Mobile Bravia Engine having 1280*720 pixel resolution with a 342PPI pixel density, 12 MP rear shooter with Sony Exmor R™ for mobile along with Fastest Capture to take shots in just 1.5 seconds directly from standby mode and also comes with f/2.4 aperture capable of 1080p video recording and has a 16GB internal memory.

The phone comes with a 1.3MP front facing camera and is capable of 720p video recording. There is a powerhouse 1750mAh battery at the back. The phone comes with HDMI, NFC, DLNA and microUSB connectivity. Comes preloaded with Android 2.3.7 and will be updated to Android 4.0 by Q2 2012.

The phone is measured at 128 x 64 x 10.6 mm and weighs 144gms.

It is expected to be available by Q1 2012.
