Nokia 701, the brightest Symbian Belle smartphone
Nokia announced 3 smartphones which will come loaded with Symbian Belle from the Nokia Factory. One of the phone is Nokia 701. The phone is labelled as the smartphone with brightest screen in the world.
The phone comes with 1 GHz processor and a 3.5″ IPS LCD display with CBD technology. The CBD allows you to manage in bright sunlight. The pairing of IPS LCD with CBD will give you excellent brightness and contrast. It also has Gorilla Glass to give you scratch resistant screen.
Its dimensions are measured at 117.3mm * 56.8mm * 11mm and weighs around 131gm.
With respect to the connectivity, the phone comes with NFC and can pair with other phones to share pics, contacts as well as can connect to accessories like Nokia Play 360 speakers. It has Pentaband Radio and has HSUPA support, WiFi and Bluetooth, GPS.
There is an inbuilt 8GB memory which can be extended upto 32GB using micro SD card. A 8MP full-focus camera at the back supported by a dual LED Flash. There is a front camera for video calling.
The Phone can last upto 550 hrs in standby mode and 17 hrs on GSM connectivity.
The colours which decorate the phone are Steel dark, Silver light, Amethyst violet, and white variations and should be available around Q3 of 2011.
Price is expected to be around 290 Euros.
