iPhone 4S pre-orders hit the limit – AT&T 200000, Sprint 16GB sold
AT&T released a press statement where it stated that they have processed 200,000 pre-orders for iPhone 4S. The above mentioned numbers were hit during the first 12 hours after pre-order went live.
The numbers are of AT&T alone. Sprint has sold out its entire 16GB iPhone 4S lots.
Apart from these, we are yet to see the numbers from Verizon and Apple (online pre-orders via Apple.com).
AT&T has seen extraordinary demand for iPhone 4S with more than 200,000 pre-orders in the first 12 hours alone, the most successful iPhone launch we’ve ever had. It’s obvious customers like AT&T’s 4G network, which is the only one that lets their iPhone download twice as fast and talk and surf simultaneously.
The iPhone 4S will be available starting October 14th. iPhone 4S has some serious internal upgrade to the hardware and the software on it. Just don’t go over the looks of the phone.
iPhone 4S comes with the latest dual-core A5 processor which is already seen in iPad2. There is also an upgrade to the camera which is now 8MP where as iPhone 4 had a 5MP Camera. The latest camera sees an improved optics system.
iPhone 4S gets the iOS 5 which itself comes with huge set of features. There is an integration of AI into the iOS 5 named Siri, your personal assistant on iPhone 4S.
Apple claims that there is an improvement in the battery performance in iPhone 4S.
This will be huge huge tribute to Steve Jobs if iPhone 4S becomes a huge hit. Lets wait and watch how the sales figure turn out.
