Black Dog TGR–Appreciation Event

I was one amongst the bunch of folks who got the privilege to interact with Andrew Skene, a scotch expert. The event was scheduled in Puma Social Club, Bangalore.

Andrew was here to share more info about Black Dog as a brand and our favorite Triple Gold Reserve. Andrew hails from Aberdeen, Scotland. Aberdeen is near to Speyside (heart of Scotch whisky). He grew up with a love for Scotch Whisky, its culture and Socio-Economic Significance.

With a background in Marketing & Branding and a certificate of expertise in sales and service of Scotch whisky, Andrew set off in 2003 to bring his passion for Scotch whisky to South Asia. He has set up Spirit of Scotland Pvt. Limited in 2006 in Singapore. Since then, he has created various Scotch Whisky concepts, organized and conducted numerous tasting and training sessions over the past few years.

What was good about this interaction – Andrew gave us some amazing facts about Black Dog, preparation of Whisky, history of Scotch Whisky, how Scotch was made and how Black Dog TGR is made.

I also got to see Black Dog Fly for the first time in my life. This is the Fishing fly, which inspired Sir Walter Millard to name the scotch Black Dog.
